TO LEAD MIDDLE-SCHOOL & HIGH-SCHOOL TEENS INTO AN FAITHFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST THROUGH SACRAMENTS, DISCUSSION, AND MENTORSHIP.
St.Clare of Assisi Catholic Church strives to serve our community of young people by providing our teens with the opportunity to encounter Christ in a deep and meaningful way. This naturally leads to a community that fosters trust and companionship. Through our Life Teen and Edge program, we serve the youth community and empower families to become more firmly rooted in the immeasurable Truths of the Catholic Church.
HIGH SCHOOL LIFE TEEN
St. Clare of Assisi High School Ministry is a Eucharist-centered discipleship group program. By sharing the teachings of our Church and facilitating powerful encounters with Christ through small group discussion and the sacraments, we help teenagers grow in the knowledge of our faith while transforming their hearts to help them passionately live out the gospel. Serving and loving one another. Through fellowship and open honest discussion, we grow closer to one another and Christ, knowing that we walk this journey together.
MIDDLE SCHOOL EDGE
St. Clare of Assisi's middle school youth ministry is centered on a discipleship apprenticeship that encourages them to live and share their faith with others. They learn and discuss the topics from trained mentors, who guide your son or daughter through the faith. The environment should be relational, and productive. Encouraging growth, and providing answers to questions that they may have about the topic of the day.
If you are interested in serving our young Church, then being a mentor is a great way to start. There are 6 expectations of an adult mentor.
First: Affirm the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Second: Strengthen the authority of parents.
Third: Engage the parents.
Fourth: Be a facilitator, not a teacher.
Fifth: Be a mentor, not a parent.
Sixth: Expect to be blessed.
